We Arrived

Well we arrived, but not without a few bumps here and there. As Kona may have sensed us leaving, he decided to get sick the morning we were to leave. Waking us up at about 5am, Wackie pleasantly found his supper thrown up in his kennel. After cleaning that out, our little pup just keep on heaving up. Knowing that the Vet opens at 8am (never bring your dog to the vet for emerg, unless truly an emerg - very expensive), we were able to see a Vet first thing in the morning. Turns out, the vet also takes boarding, so we quickly changed our boarding for Kona to his vet. They ran a test and placed him in isolation for some time. Poor dog. But everything turned up negative and was eating fine when we called the next day. I think Kona is a very emotional dog. He did this to us when we first got him too. He doesn't deal well with change.
Anyway, we're here at NJ and aren't planning on going to NYC till next week. So far, all we have done is shopped till we dropped. Wackie and I have found some pretty great deals and we hit a fantastic outlet mall today. I think we'll be going to a even bigger one on Saturday! Next time, pack less!
Well ciao for now!

NYC Here We Come!

Well, the time has finally arrive for Wackie and I to head out to the Big Apple.
Here's a question for Yao, why do they call NY the Big Apple?!?
After some last minute packing (as usual), I'm sure we have over packed. But none the less, I think we are ready. After talking to quite a few people, it seems like there is lots to do in NY. However, we won't be there everyday. We will be staying in NJ and then commuting over. But since it's a big family vacation, I predict a lot of eating, more eating and lots more eating. I'm sure we will be well fed.
So, hopefully we'll touch base while we are out living the big life in the big city.
Poor Kona though, he's going to the kennels. Hopefully, he won't learn too many bad behaviours! Don't worry, I packed up his bag too.

Wackies Enjoying the Fall

Enjoying the autumn colors and fallen leaves!

Update on our little pup:

He has grown before our eyes. He's about 17 inches tall and about 25 lbs.

Enjoys chasing leaves and jumping and lying down in the pile of leaves.

I think he'll enjoy the snow fall just as much!
