Let there be Heat

Well, more on our progression on our house. Today, we had our furnace replaced, attached a new humidifier and ran new ducts to our master bedroom and mud-room. Now hopefully this year, both rooms won't be so darn cold. Our plumbing permit pass so Monday, more work on the house. At least for now, there won't be anymore jackhammering.
With all this rain, it has become apparent that our shingles and eavesdrops need replacing and STAT! With a new basement developing, the last thing we need is a flood down there. Our grading doesn't help, but one step at a time. Over the past few days or more so, that one day it rained all night, we had to put our 2 large garbage cans where the eavesdrops were leaking. By morning, both were full to the rim! Yikes! That is horrible. So, now we just dig a little deeper into our pockets and hope we find some cash!

  • If you find someone, let me know. We have to replace our shingles and eavestroughs by next spring. The downside of owning an older home :(

  • I've been calling around still and will evantually get some prices. I've had quotes from $2500-3900 for 25 years, just for shingles. Eaves are extra $1000 (approx). Will let you know who we go with.
